The Cambridge News has been educating and entertaining the people of Cambridge for generations.
Created as the Cambridge Daily News in 1888 by local businessman William Farrow Taylor, the newspaper has grown from a little-known local newsletter to a popular, forward thinking daily publication.
Owned by Iliffe News and Media, Cambridge Newspapers Limited has an enviable range of newspapers, magazines and websites. These include the Cambridge News, Cambridge News Online, Style Magazine and the Cambridgeshire Journal. The stable of 8 free weekly newspapers also drive a successful leaflet business built on a weekly door-to-door delivery service that reaches close to a quarter of a million homes in the Greater Cambridgeshire region.
Alongside its array of print publications, Cambridge Newspapers is also developing a strong digital media offering. Its main Cambridge News Online site delivers the largest airtime audience of any local site within the county. The company also runs a successful contract printing business from its state-of-the-art printing plant at Milton.
