Channel Television - Introduction

Channel Television broadcasts to 150,000 people across the Channel Islands, chiefly Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm.

Founded in 1962, Channel Television is the smallest of the regional companies that make up the ITV network and remains one of the three remaining independent broadcasters in the UK outside ITV Plc. The station's main studios are in Jersey, with additional studios in Guernsey.
Channel Television produces in excess of 5 hours of regional programming every week ranging from local news and current affairs to sport, regional documentaries and children's programmes. Its flagship news magazine Channel Report is broadcast each weeknight at 6pm.
The station also produces local commercials and local and UK corporate productions.
