HEN publications cover the key commuter corridors of the A1, the A10 and the M11.
With its main offices in Hertford, HEN is divided into four separate newspaper groups, each with their own products and catchment areas.
The paid for Hertfordshire Mercury series is the biggest-selling weekly newspaper in the group selling around 26,000 copies per week. Making up the four-title group is the main Hertfordshire Mercury title, the Royston and Buntingford Mercury, the Hoddesdon and Broxbourne Mercury and the Cheshunt and Waltham Mercury. In addition the Hertfordshire and Lea Valley Star are freely delivered to some 50,000 homes along the A10 corridor. All of these titles are produced from the HEN offices in Hertford.
The paid for Herts and Essex Observer series has two separate titles, selling more than 16,000 copies per week, covering Bishop's Stortford, Stansted, Walden and Dunmow. There is a local publishing office in Bishop's Stortford town centre.
The Harlow Star series distributes more than 40,000 copies to homes in Harlow, Epping and Sawbridgeworth, and there is a local publishing office in Harlow town centre.
The Advertiser Series of free newspapers were acquired by HEN in November 2006 and publish four editions which are delivered to homes along the A1 corridor in the areas of Welwyn Garden City/Hatfield, Stevenage, Hitchin/Letchworth/Baldock and Biggleswade/Sandy. There is a local publishing team based out of offices in Hitchin.
